Roberta Duchak

is an award winning musical director, Broadway vocal coach, producer, Director and Broadway performer.

She was the on-set vocal coach for Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman for the 2012 feature film Les Misérables, as well as the 2013 Academy Award performance.

A former Broadway and national touring performer herself, Roberta teaches privately in Chicago and via Zoom.

Currently, Roberta is the US Musical Supervisor for Six: The Musical on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. She was also the vocal coach for Broadway’s “The Notebook” and “Hell’s Kitchen” at the Public Theatre, currently running on Broadway. She musical directed and composed additional vocal and instrumental arrangements for Brigadoon at Goodman Theatre in Chicago, IL.

Roberta spent several years as the resident Musical Director at the Drury Lane Theatre, where she received 7 Jeff Nominations and has won 2 Jeff Awards for Ragtime and Six. She has worked with Goodman Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater, Mercury Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Northwestern University, Writers Theatre, and created new arrangements for the Original Grease at American Theater Company.

She performed on Broadway in Ragtime (Mother) and several national tours, including Scrooge (Christmas Past) with Richard Chamberlain, Showboat (Magnolia/Ellie), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona Lisa Peretti), which she also played in the sit-down Chicago production.

Hailed as one of Chicago’s Second City Divas, Roberta spent her early years performing at almost every Chicago Theatre. As a vocalist, she can be heard on numerous cast recordings, including her debut solo CD “Intersections”, ”Second City Divas" and "SECOND CITY DIVAS: live at the mercury". She was a featured soloist at the prestigious Ravinia Festival. Roberta spent 8 years as an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College Chicago and is an Indiana University graduate.  www.robertaduchak.net

Carey Deadman is one of the most sought after orchestrators, producers and trumpet players in the Chicago area.

An active Trumpet player in the Chicago music scene since 1985, Carey has had the pleasure of performing with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Sting, Adam Levine, Celine Dion, Michael Bublè, Hugh Jackman and many others. Favorite Theatre shows include Wicked, Jersey Boys, The Producers with Nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick, Fosse (featured trumpet soloist), Sophisticated Ladies (Drury Lane), Movin’ Out (pre-Broadway), and Ragtime.

Television appearances include Brian Wilson, BurtBacharach, Ron Isley, David Foster, Bernadette Peters, Amy Grant and Under the Streetlamp.

As an orchestrator Carey has written for several artists including Frank Sinatra, Peter Cetera, Lyle Lovett, Diana Ross, and has written hundreds of TV and Radio commercials, as well as many of the orchestrations at the Drury Lane Theater.

Currently, Carey stays active in the recording studio, producing music for albums and video.
